COPING WITH PAH: PHoto Album: Shiri Padmore

My name is Shiri Padmore, I live in Israel and I was diagnosed with PPH on the 18th of July 1999. This is a photo of me and the one true love of my life, my husband - Nuah, who's been a rock in my life and an unending source of love and support.

This photo was taken in the beginning of 2001. Nuah & I were on our way to a friend's wedding. By this time I had already given up on changing bags & pouches for the pump so it would match my clothes.

Every time I look at this picture I feel proud of the change as far as my attitude towards my illness because the day I stopped trying to hide the pump or making as unnoticeable as possible was the day I started to accept the illness as a legitimate part of my life. The energy I used to put into camouflaging my pump I started putting into things I loved going.
