I had started this quilt about five years ago before I was diagnosed. Each 12 inch block has 53 pieces. Working on it made me realize there just wasn't something right. It took a lot of trips to the ironing board and I was unreasonably out of breath especially after a few trips to press the various parts to the blocks. I would work on it but would have long breaks from it due to PH just knocking me down a bit every so often. I finally finished it last week! I credit Letairis for giving me the bit of an edge to continue the work on it. It is a gift for my mother-in-law. Her favorite colors are purple and green. My husband will mail it off to her next week, just in time for her birthday. The little fluff ball is our Bichon-Poo, Casper. This was a huge project and I wanted others to see that even though this disease knocks us around we can still be creative and reach many goals set before diagnosis.
