About the Artist: Jill Kronenberg
Hi my name is Jill Kronenberg I was diagnosed with PPH in May '02. I was 21 years old. I had a Remodulin pump put in in Aug. of that same year. Initially they (Stanford Medical) were very down about my whole situation and gave me a very short life expectancy due to the severity of the PPH. Well, every year I prove them more and more wrong.
I have had a pretty rough road though. in '97 I became pregnant and Stanford convinced me that I would die if I didn't terminate the pregnancy. So I went thru hell and gave up my baby...To this day I still have nightmares of the procedure.. I was very careful and took all the precautions.
Well in Oct '06 I was pregnant again even with an IUD in place, so this time there was no turning back and no one was about to convince me otherwise. Thank God and my Remodulin I now have a beautiful baby girl born June 4 '07 weighing only 4lbs. I had a wonderful OB who went above and beyond to get me thru it. Even though it was rough not being able to see her for over a week because i was in ICU and then not being able to bring her home for another 18 days because she was in baby ICU trying to get up to weight, I wouldn't change a thing about what I went through to get her here.
I have never really come to terms with having PPH and don't believe it can hold me back. I keep my head up and be the best mom I can be. Well i guess the whole reason I am writing this is because I was told to come share my hobby here with the rest of you and share a little about myself. I have been cake decorating since I was 19 and love everything about it. I worked in grocery stores for years and was even a banquet decorator for a while, but PPH does slow me down a little bit. I am much more comfy decorating at home especially now with my little angel here.
If you would like to see my bundle of joy or more of my work please feel free to check out my myspace pages at www.myspace.com/freakyfroggy84 or www.myspace.com/cdcakes. Thank you for letting me share a little of myself with you. |
