About the Artist: Michelle Smith

Before my PH progressed to the point where I had to "retire", I had a career which I loved as a Graphic Artist and Website Designer.  I sometimes found it hard to believe that I was actually getting paid to draw and be creative.  It didn't really feel like work since I enjoyed it so much.  After I could no longer work, I had to find another creative outlet.  Learning to paint with watercolors through books and, later, classes was just what I needed.  It's such a fantastic medium with which to work.  It's quite challenging as there is little room for error, but the results can be stunning.  It's also a great medium for people with lung problems as there are no fumes to contend with.

More of my paintings and artwork can be viewed on my website:

Gorgeous Midhelle! I felt I could reach out and touch the bird. So like like! What a precious little dog. My favorite has to be the flowers though.

Hi Michelle, I enjoyed seeing your paintings... especially the one of your darling little dog! Some of your paintings have almost a photographic quality about them... wonder how you do that?

Michelle....your work is absolutely wonderful! I looked at your paintings and I asked myself, "How does she DO that?" I love the Robin on the branch, those blossoms look so real, I think I got a whiff of their fragrance. I look forward to seeing more of your paintings!
