Beginning my Diary

Today I am beginning my diary what I will do is go back through the many years of living with this and other diseases as a source of encouragement and hope to those of you just diagnosed or only a few years into this disease. Tomorrow I will start going through the years and then keep current as to coping and living with this disease on a daily basis.

Beginning to use my Diary

Well I didn't get far when I wrote my first entry a long time ago.  Not sure why but just didn't get back here .

It has been a rough year physically for me between infections, the constant rain and humidity here in Vermont I just wasn't sure I'd make it through.

I had this disease a very long time well over 20 years that we know of. So I decided I'd take my diary and go back over the past years a little at a time to encourage those of you just diagnosed to hang in there.  Don't allow the pessimism of doctors to rob you of the joy the remainder of your life will give you no matter the length.  If you do that then you too will be writing something like this down the road.  With the medicines and the like you could have a decent life.  Well thats it for today will write more tomorrow.

year has been rough

Living with PH and severe lung diseases I was born with is not easy and this year has been particularly difficult what with selling the house because I could no longer physically do it.  Now I am living in my friends Office and sleeping on her Futon but my dogs and cat are with me.  Out looking for a place to live but don't have a lot to put down on it.  My health and the heat here in New England or the rain have not helped.  However, folks I am a survivor.  On July 26th I will be here exactly 46 years longer than any physician ever gave me hope to live.  I will be sixty-two and was supposed to be dead by sixteen.  So anyone out there just reading take great hope in this.  Your attitude and stubborness play a big part in your survival as does my faith.  So hang in there folks. I am going to try to do better and write more often.
