Michelle Smith lives with her husband and two pint-sized four-footers: a Papillion puppy named Monte and a Miniature Pincher named Oscar. She was diagnosed with PAH at one year of age when they discovered a congenital hole in her heart (VSD). An early repair might have resolved or lessened the PAH, but she was too frail at the time of the discovery. When Michelle was 3-years-old, the surgery was performed.
Michelle worked until 1999 when, at age 28, her symptoms worsened considerably. Like so many of us, she had to begin Flolan and slowly she regained her strength and life.
I asked Michelle to help design the new PHCentral logo for us because I am familiar with her work and think she's a very accomplished artist in her own right. You can see for yourself. Michelle's clever website design as well as a number of her watercolors can be viewed online at: Michelle Smith's Art Gallery.
We are thrilled with our new logo! We feel it says a lot about who we are. It says we are a world-wide resource to the PAH community and we do it with style and heart.
The staff at PHC extends a warm thank you to Michelle Smith for her fine contribution. Tell us how you feel about our new look at
PHCentral Feedback.
